The Heart of Hednesford was set up in 2013 by local people with the support of Staffs County Council, Cannock Chase District Council and Hednesford Town Council.
Our aim is to make Hednesford a better place to live, work, shop and visit by making improvements to the town through projects, events and initiatives.
We want to build community spirit and get local people and groups working together.
Hednesford is a traditional market town that’s steeped in history. From the miners bricks and lamp at the top of Market Street to the war memorial on Hednesford Hills, there is plenty to find out about and see.
We’re passionate about preserving and maintaining our town’s heritage and working closely with the Town Council, Hednesford in Partnership, Hednesford Traders Association, The Museum of Cannock Chase and The Friends of Hednesford Park we are identifying projects of all shapes and sizes.
From cleaning up areas of the town that are currently neglected, to restoring original features on buildings, improving signage and enhancing street furniture, there’s plenty to do!
We are also keen to get involved in organising events in the town and we already know from speaking to traders and residents that they are keen to have themed markets and music events.
Our committee is made up of local residents and we’re always keen to see new faces at our meetings and to get involved in projects we’re planning. So come on, get involved!
